Dennis Dodd's take on the Bama Nation (He's right, IMO)

Re: Dennis Dodd's take on the Bama Nation (He's right)

The fact that Dennis Dodd is saying this should make every Bama fan leery of his message. The guy has never said anything positive about Alabama. He is consistantly critical and degrading towards Alabama.

If he's telling us we should keep a coach, I have to question why he's saying that.

2009 National Champions sounds 'bout right to me.
2009? I thought next year was our year. Interesting to see how this year has made some Bama fans push back their expectations for 2 more years.

I, for one, do not expect Alabama to spend multiple seasons "rebuilding." Alabama should be a conference contender next year. There should be no excuses...

For anyone to say that the offense has not improved is making uneducated accusations based on what so called radio experts keep saying. We have moved the ball as well as any team in the SEC. We have had many plays open that should have led to scores if not for penalties or overthrown balls. The only place that has really caused us to not be dominate on offense is the O-line. When you are playing with a make shift line because of the previous coach failed to recruit O-linemen it is a legitimate reason and not an excuse. Also, Galen Hall recently pointed out that the O-line is the hardest position to build back after sanctions. Shula has done very well at recruiting O-linemen and next year we will see the results.
As for the question when we should be competitive again, it will be next year. 2007 has been the year that was constantly mentioned as the return year as far back as when the sanctions was handed down.

Good point. Satan appears as an Angel of Light to bait folks into his trap.

Apparently so does Dennis Dodd.
