Class is

I agree that it takes more to hold back from insulting your opponents than it does to gloat or instigate. However, to expect anyone who would yell out "USC" at an Auburn game to apologize for it shows a misunderstanding of who you are dealing with - In my opinion, though embarassing as it is to hear someone act out like someone from a mid-major school, if they want to do it, fine. However, if they think they have any validity in calling someone else out for doing the same, then they can live in their ignorant double-standard nebula without the support of the "old guard" who grew used to beating the tar out of teams and made it look like it was all in a days' work. When beating everyone was the norm, so that taunting them was a waste of time. I know it pained Tennessee fans more to see me say "good game" after we beat them in 1990 than to rub it in their noses. They hated that I wasn't surprised we won and that I was a gracious winner. Why? Because they weren't. So, go taunt, yell yourself to death - and let Auburn/Tennessee/Florida/etc claim the same ground that we used to hold above them, because your actions speak to their level. If the students want to act like a mid-major school, have at it. I had my fun and can always wait for the next generation to know what it is like to win with . . . dare I say it? Class.

I just hate it for the students now. They don't know what it is like to be a winner. Try to understand where they are and their actions make more sense.
