Do we think Ty wins the Heisman?

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Lots of football yet to play. He could have one of those disastrous outings that remove him from contention. Or he could continue lighting up the field like a PlayStation.

I can’t believe we have to worry about our defense against Vanderbilt….
Vanderbilt may have the best offense Alabama will face in the regular season this year. Fans should recognize that in accordance with the “new college football world”, Vanderbilt is a legitimate threat to beat the top teams in the country. Not that they should be favored, but they are a legitimate threat. I’m concerned about this game. Vanderbilt is likely going to be tougher to deal with than UGA on offense. Thankfully, though their D is supposedly improved, it still seems to be vulnerable and DeBoer/Grubb/Simpson seem to be up to the challenge of taking advantage. They may have to.

IMO, except for Eastern Illinois, there is not a team on Alabama’s schedule that can’t beat them, though IMO, Alabama will and should be favored in all of them.

Not saying he will or he won’t, there’s a lot of football left to be played. If, however, he were to maintain his averages through four games, he’s on pace to throw for about 4,300 yards and 37 touchdowns in a 13 game slate. Those are Heisman-ish numbers if you are playing for a top-10 team. Not all that far off from Bryce Young in 2021.

A lot of “ifs” to consider there, and I agree that it shouldn’t become a distraction.

NIL money has dispersed the talent across all rosters. There is a lot of parity and mediocrity in CF now. You dont get yourself ready to play you can/will get beat.

Ugh, I'd really prefer not. BUT if he wins, chances are we win too. I was hoping we'd get 2 years out of him....not if he wins

Part of me would like to see him win it, but also a part of me wants him here two years. If he wins the Heisman he will probably also be guaranteed to go within the first five picks of next years NFL draft and I'm not sure he can turn that down.
