i watched this last week on amazon prime and really enjoyed it. it is a 4 hour documentary of the grateful dead and is well done. thankfully, they broke it up into 6 chapters so it is easy to watch in pieces. the last couple of segments deal with the the impact that the popularity of touch of grey and dead shows becoming a "thing" had on the band. there are lots of good interviews with the surviving members of the band.

my wife, who doesn't care much at all for the dead, actually enjoyed it.

****spoiler alert****

jerry dies at the end

Long live the dead!

Yeah, touch-heads were different. I loved the music and the shows (and a couple of other things - 'twas a different life then), but there were a couple of distractors I didn't care for. The 'looking for a miracle' bums were annoying, for example.
