Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

On Monday, will Tua Announce to Return to UA, or Declare for the NFL?

My question is, if the evaluation grade is true, what does it really mean? It’s only been about 8 weeks, I think, so you wouldn’t expect it to be an A right now. Unless they are comparing to what it should be now at this stage. His doctor after surgery said he expected a full recovery.
We would need someone who knows how these things are graded to hope to understand what this means.

If you go to the Alabama Sports Board SEC Rant, under the "Bama Football Info and News" thread, there is some updated info from the supposed insider Crimson Boz. Very interesting if true. Said Tua's hip evaluation was a C- on a scale of A-D, but I assume that is the current state instead of what is expected in the future. ?

Of course his hip would be just average now since it has not been that long since surgery. The poster also said his dad was sort of pressing for Lia to play more. Tua has been adamant about staying this whole time but his dad may have other ideas based on the hip evaluation... like maybe leave now and rehab, get the money if in the top 15.

If any of this is true, it will be interesting which decision is made. I know it is difficult either way for Tua and his dad. I will be happy for Tua either way. I just want him to do what he/his dad feels is best.
I don't want it to be what's best for Lia...

Here’s why I don’t buy this:

If his medical evaluation is bad then every team doctor at the combine is going to see it too. A bad evaluation would not lead to him being able to go top 15, it would insure that he does not. It may make sense for him to leave but he won’t be leaving for top 15 money if the hip is not looking great right now.
If the story being mentioned is true then apparently after the evaluation someone connected to the Giants assured Tua's dad that Tua would still be in the Top 15, so now Tua's dad is leaning toward the NFL draft.

The story simply is not logical. He gets a poor recovery grade, but is told at the same time that he would still be a top 15 pick. Those two things do not align.

Also, how would the Giants know that? The Giants could have told him that they would draft him with their #4 pick, but they are very, very happy with Daniel Jones. The Giants will not be drafting him.

So are they now telling him, hey, we don't want you, but we are sure that someone else will pick you up high in the draft? Who would believe that?

I still think that the presser means that he is moving along. What I am saying is that this story is illogical.

Agree with the comment above me. I think he Tua was planning on staying, but now my friend (who knows walk ons on the team) says he’s hearing Tua is gone.
Also, Ruggs leaving is probably a sign that Tua is leaving.
lastly, yes the presser with coach Saban in attendance to probably give his blessing is what gives it away.

im mixed up about this. 1) it sucks. We were supposed to get a lot of guys back. Thank God about Dylan Moses, now we need Josh McMillon!!

bring on BRYCE YOUNG!!

I’d be interested in knowing how many Juniors stay from UGA, LSU, Clemson, etc compared to Bama for next year. I think several are. If we can get Devonte to stay, that would be great with the other two.

I would imagine they will lose a few as well...…………….the siren song of earning money is a hard one to resist

Yeah, I'll admit some things to the story don't make sense. Tua's dad would have to be very gullible to believe one person telling him something like that, which I don't think he is. I do think the story that Tua is going pro is correct even though the details may not be 100% accurate.

Wouldn’t it be hilarious is Tua pulled one on everyone tomorrow? Everyone is expecting a decision and he says “Well, I’ve not quite made my mind up yet.” Then goes in and talked about his appointment/rehab. 😂

Late scuttlebutt seems to lean towards him leaving but who knows. There's probably only a small group who truly knows.

I saw the post that Boz put up on another site, and he's had some pretty good info in the past. However, he has been wrong before, and honestly, the stuff he posted tonight makes no sense to me. B1GTide already outlined why it doesn't make much sense so I won't get into it again.

The AJC is banking on him leaving....... so they can claim Fromm as the best QB in the SEC

Which is why he could play the other 7 games. Way ahead of you.
???? Redshirting is a seasonal thing and you only can do it once. Since both Lia and Tyson both played in less than four games then you would have to assume they are both going to claim last year as a redshirt year and now have four years left. There is no strategic advantage to either of them not redshirting for the 2019 season but using 2020 as the redshirt year.
