Effect on the recruiting class if we get Saban?

wow think about nic saban the recruiter what will happen if saban was to come to bama? with less than a month and a half of recruiting left of good of a class could he put together? and for next year what will we be looking for?

I think you'd see us fully lock up the guys we've got and probably get a few of our big defensive targets still out there. Kerry Murphy, John Brown, and McNeil come to mind. It could only help, obviously!

I'm not sure Ford can be in the mix because of the qualification problems he has had. Other schools and conferences don't have the same qualifications as Bama and the SEC.

How do we know that Saban will honor the offers to the kids that are commited? There is a possibility that he does not like the the players that have commited. There is also a possibility that higher rated players would look at Bama and someone will lose out and that could be a player already on the list.

According to his Mom, I thought Ford was enrolling at USF early. Also from what I heard his academics will still not allow him into UA so I wish him well and let's focus on the excellent RBs we have on board. I'm more concerned about lineman anyway.

i would expect a coach with his credentials, would attract several key players to the tide. i would expect the return of those defecting as well. surely, there would be a complete upgrade of this team in performance, and toughness.

For starters, we can stop worrying about losing recruits we have...and I agree with DrJ that Saban will open doors with new recruits. LSU has the mother-load of talent right now due to Saban's efforts.

I believe the recruiting dead period ends this Friday, so the timing of Saban's hiring is perfect.
