Does anyone know the name of the little diner in Tuscaloosa or Northport that serves pancakes shaped like elephants? I read about it in Rammer Jammer by St. John, and I think I might have actually eaten there years ago, but I can't remember the name.

I figured my 2 year old would love to eat there. Man, I cannot wait for homecoming this year! It's going to be a blast watching my son cheer at the game. After yesterday, it looks like there's going to be a LOT to cheer about! :biggrin2: Roll Tide

It's the Waysider....just off Greensboro past 15th (I think).

My father in law resembles Mike Price. We were in there one morning and the waiter thought he knew us. I joked that he was Mike Price and he should have recognized him earlier. Next thing we know, my father in law's meal is free and they bring out the elephant pancakes. We thought it was hysterical. Then, 2 weeks later, a golf tournament in Florida happened. He hasn't been back since.

That's too funny! Maybe he could go back incognito if he likes the food.

Thanks for the response. We'll have to go check it out.
