Eli's comment made me smile

My daughter and her son flew in to B'ham this morning so that she and her friends could go to the game. I got to meet them in T-town so I could bring my little grandson home with me where she'll join us tomorrow. So, I was left to listening to the game on the radio :frown: However, I couldn't help but put on a great big ole smile when Eli said something like "the clouds are parting just in time for the Bear to watch the game." Made chill bumps race up and down me. Guess the Bear is really smiling tonight.

I heard the same remark and it reminded me of a game my father and I came to back in the 70's. We were playing Miss St and it had rained on us all the way from Montgomery to Tuscaloosa. The finally rain stopped but there were still very dark clouds hanging over the stadium before the game started. Both teams came on the field to warm up and as Bear came onto the field, the clouds parted and the sun started shining bright. Everyone in the stands started yelling "I believe Bear, I believe".

I personally liked the subtle statement from Eli tonight after the game... the Tide is 7 and 0, and the Volunteers ARE NOT.
