Question: ESPN Gameplan season vs. individual weekends

Gang, I was about to order another season of ESPN Gameplan when I noticed you could buy individual weekends instead of a whole season. Since I really only care about watching Bama, doesn't it make the most sense to order individual weekends? Has anyone else did the weekend thing?

I figure most of Bama's games will be on ESPN or CBS so I'm thinking I'd save a little coin by doing the individual weekend thing.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

JMO, I'd get the whole thing...You're basically gauranteed four CBS/ESPN games (Clemson and AU for sure, then prob UT and UGA)...Then, at least one more will prob be on (Arky, MSU, or Ole Miss)

Two are most likely alrady PPV, 2 are most likely JP...That' already 4 games that you'd have to order bc you're in Minnesota, so at $30/each, that's $120, and that's only if all other games are on National TV, which I doubt. The whole package is, what $199??? I'd say order it bc even though you say you only care about Bama, it's fun watching the other games as well

You're looking at having to order Tulane, Western Kentucky, Arkansas State, and most likely Arkansas, at a minimum. Then throw in the possibility of other games like MSU being Raycom as well. It seems like the $109 for the whole season is the way to go.

Does anybody know if ESPN Gameplan offers games in HD?
I'm 99% sure they do not as I've never seen it advertised and the fact that several of the games I've seen on the gameplan in the past are not the best of video quality.

Order the entire season. If you're like me you will at least flip to the other games that are being shown (especially SEC games). When you do you will find a couple of them are not being broadcast. Jump on the phone and call your provider, let them know the game is not being broadcast as scheduled, since you are not being provided what you paid for they will provide you with a credit of the weekend price.

Get the entire season! The package if you buy it now is $109, but it's $30 per game plus tax if you buy it individually and we have 3 already guaranteed so that's $90. Also, you get a lot of other great games that are NOT national but regional that you may prefer watching when not watching Bama play. For instance, during the Bama/Clemson game there is Michigan State vs. Cal and also you can watch (for what its worth) the Auburn vs. La. Monroe game on Bama commercials or at half time and that's just this weekend.

Keep this stuff on The Strip. That's what it's for. The football forum will be busy enough from here on without having to discuss our individual programming preferences.

Thx!
