Please tell me that when someone says Roll Tide to you, you're not the guy that gives a blank stare back.

Went into a local restaurant today and had an Alabama jacket on. The waitress said "oh, Roll Tide!" For some reason, it caught me off guard and I said "thank you" and immediately a "what the hell are you thinking" went through my mind and I promptly corrected myself with a Roll Tide back to her. I was ashamed of myself.:frown:

How do you see the new ESPN Alabama commercial? Recognition or Making Fun?

Myself i see any publicity a plus. It is a hilariously funny and true to life commercial.

What I LOVE about this new commercial is that regardless of the fact that 'barn ended up undefeated, SEC champs & playing for their first outright & not-on-probation NC ever (of course, they've only been in the football busine$$ for about 120 years now), ESPN makes a college football ad and passes over them to focus on a TRUE football tradition & power: THE University of Alabama. The timing of its release could NOT have been more appropriate!

This once again points out to the aubs that regardless of where their tilting the field gets them (relative to BAMA: their ONLY touchstone), they are still the back seat, red-headed stepsister to the true football power in the state of Alabama. We'll be back in the hunt next fall and they'll once again be mired in mediocrity & anger at their currently vaunted HC & staff!

You obviously are not utilizing your "Roll Tide" acumen frequently enough and are therefore rusty. I recommend you take it upon yourself to say "Roll Tide" at least twice daily until you feel you've adequately shaken off said rust.

Now, go forth and Roll Tide.

This commercial is just cool. When at Disney World two years ago, I couldn't tell you how many people with Bama gear on that I saw. And each time, we acnolidged one another and gave a Roll Tide. Awesome. And the funeral thing is definetly the way I'd like mine to end. ROLL TIDE!
