Favorite Place For a Hamburger/Cheeseburger (non chain)

Marlow's Tavern in Vinings is pretty good.

I am told there is a place in Atlanta that supposedly has "the best". It is a cash only type place and I don't know the name.

Marlow's in Duluth is great, too. Ted's Montana Grill in Duluth. Huer's just north of Columbia, MO is my favorite.

me either. my neighbor has been and says its great, but plan on waiting in line, getting "rude" treatment (think soup nazi), and sitting by yourself

I have heard that about that place.
here at my office we have talked about going but haven't yet. i think i might suggest we try again for Friday.

The Ultimate Stuffed Tony Burger. I have yet to finish one.

A mile or two west from there is a little hole in the wall called Loaves and Fishes Café. They have one called a Phat Burger. Instead of a bun, it's between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches.

My wife probably made that burger...

There's a place in Montgomery call Joe's Again Buffalo Wings & Rib City that makes a really good burger.

Also a place call Vicki's Lunch Van that makes pretty good burgers. It use to be an white serving van but they got shut down and reopened in an actual store front. They have some pictures on there FB page from when it was just a van: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Vickis-Lunch-Van/398552804771

I also like the burgers at Chris's Hot Dogs.

I doubt these are the best burgers ever but, they are some of the best in Montgomery. I use to really like Hamburger King but, ever since the owner died they just haven't been the same.

i think the main thing is to not expect to sit together. at least the way i heard it, you sit where ever a seat opens up when your place in line is up. i think it is wise to go early as well.

the whole going early thing is why we have yet to go. we tend to have a lot of 11 am conference calls.

There used to be a little sports bar in Sumter, SC called The Point After. I don't know if it's still there, but the owner made a bbq-style sauce that he mixed in with the meat prior to cooking. He put it on a huge sesame seed bun with cheese and/or whatever toppings you might want. That it went on a large plate which was piled high with your choice of crinkle-cut fries or chips.
Couple that with the beverage of your choice and that's what I call lunch!!

Hugh j burgers in Lexington were really good. Ate there with my daughter last week. They are super cheesy and as big as a honeydew melon.

Great hand cut fries too.

Miner-Dunn in NW Indiana. Fresh, hand-made burgers. Hand-made fries and onion rings.

There's a greek joint at Kabul Airport that does a real good burger... for Kabul.

Miss Lee's Hamburger House right outside the main gate of Camp Walker in Daegu, South Korea. Cheeseburger with a fried egg is good. And, get a order of yakimandu.
