Thoughts? I think it is a was of time and money for Federal prosecutors to try and go after these guys. I can really care less what they did or didn't do.

On another note, Clemens is a retard. Why even say anything to Congress and give them the opportunity to get you for perjury? I mean now how much is it going to cost him to lawyer up and fight this. All you have to do is pull a McGwire tell Congress nothing and come clean at a latter point.

It seems silly that congress is even getting involved in sports. One would think that with two wars, a nuclear Iran and NOKO, a recession, massive oil plumes in the GoM, they would focus on something other than a silly game.

Another example of Congress getting involved in something they should stay out of. (See baseball's anti-trust exemption for starters).

But, hey, there are important matters....such as Orrin Hatch's call to investigate the BCS because schools like Utah and Boise State dion't get any street cred for playing in a bush-league conference, and playing an easy schedule.

I heard a good quote today- "If a civilian goes to Congress and lies just one time, he can go to prison for 15 yrs. However if you are in Congress, you can lie to civilians every day and be called an honorable patriot."

I guess I'm really not really even talking about Congress. I'm talking about Federal prosecutors. For at least the past few administrations they seem to like going after high profile cases where I just sit and scratch my head wondering why the G'mnt even cares. There a lot worse crimes for them to worry about instead of worrying if someone used steroids or if they weren't 100% honest with Congress.

Agree on all counts. This is stupid.
