I live about 3.5 hours away from T-Town however I make every home game and love hanging out on the quad. I didn't attend school there just love the University. I'm very social and love meeting new people however I have run into several who are tailgating that seem to not want you around unless you are with their group. How do you guys feel about that?

Honestly.............anyone is ALWAYS welcome at ours, even opposing team's fans. We have had to ask one or two people to leave for being A-holes, but until you do that you are always welcome.
Some people get nervous about people eating their food or drinking their adult beverages so don't go down that road until you are invited, but I have, on numerous occassions, had people stop by when they see a game on our tv & they stayed for hours, even while we went to the stadium. I have also stopped plenty of times to watch a game as I walked back to my tailgate & have always been welcomed.

I can't say that I'm a big fan of people coming and eating your food and drinking your drinks...but if you wanna come by and socialize...c'mon over. The problem with some tailgaters is that they are really just a big group of people who each brought something. Therefore...I wouldn't want a stranger coming by and taking something that a buddy of mine brought. Now...if you're coming by to hang out and stay for a little while...then I will definitely offer you some BBQ and a cold one. One thing that is always free though is the viewing of our TVs. If you wanna catch the games then come on over. I would suggest you introduce yourself to whoever looks like they are in charge...it makes it more personal and you might get to make a friend as well.

That's a very smart thing to do......once you do this, most people will be more comfortable with you hanging around for a while. Again though & like theBIGyowski said, don't take any food or drinks until they invite you and you will be OK most of the time.

Hah I do the same thing, but I love in foley, Al. and swing by Buckatunna to visit my dad and step mother before going up.

I don't usually go up to anyone tailgating unless I know someone there, but I have been invited over by bama fans and even a couple of LSU fans before.

Can't say I started Munching on their grub when I got over there though.
