I know I have stated a few times that Ole Miss is a talented team that I would not overlook. I didn't expect them to be as good this past year as they were, but I figured they would win more games than they had in the last few years under the Oger. But for whatever reason, I have a feeling that the Rebs may have a bit of a let down this coming up season. Don't get me wrong, they will still be a bowl team, and a team to certainly keep your eye on in the West. I just don't know how these guys might handle being told how good they are. Keep in mind they lost their starting left tackle, all american defensive tackle, their fastest wide receiver, and they return one of the worst secondaries in the conference. Now they still return J. Snead, D. McCluster, and Greg Hardy. I think they have serviceable depth at RB, but I don't know that they have any absolute game changers. You figure that Massie will step in at left tackle, but like we've discussed on this board, you don't want to have to hang your hat on a rookie left tackle (even if they did go to prep school). Will Jerrel Powe (their version of Kerry Murhpy) step up and fill the void left by P. Jerry????? My gut says no. Powe still has weight/conditioning issues and is currently running with the 2nd team. On a side note, I do like Powe and wish the best for this kid (except against Bama of course

). Living here in Mississippi, most Rebel fans that I talk too think they are ready to take the next step....West championship, BCS bowl, etc. And I don't get the feeling they would like to "settle" for a Cotton Bowl invite this year. Before its all said and done, I think the Rebs will have an impact on how the West plays out. I don't see them winning the West. I also quite frankly don't quite see them equaling last years success. This of course is just my opinion. Roll Tide Roll!!!!!:BigA:
