Meyer and Saban: Conference championship games good for college football | Sports from the Press-Register - al.comMeyer said on Sunday's teleconference that injured linebacker A.J. Jones would not play on Saturday, with running back Emmanuel Moody questionable and cornerback Janoris Jenkins probable. Saban confirmed that the hip pointer suffered by leading rusher Mark Ingram in the fourth quarter of Friday's 26-21 win over Auburn should not keep him off the field Saturday.
I liked them being favored. That takes some of the pressure off Alabama.
wonder if confirmation that Ingram will likely miss the game increases the spread, or if that's already been taken into consideration?
Either way, time for TR and EC to STEP UP and TAKE CHARGE!!!

The article states that Saban confirmed the injury will NOT keep Ingram off the field Saturday.

Boy, I was worried when I read your post. I had to re-read what Saban said before I breathed a sigh of relief.
I probably should've done a better job bolding there.failing to use what is commonly called 'reading comprehension', I foolishly posted that Ingram will not be playing. LOL! Been one of those days, I guess!

Anyway, if Moody is out and Jenkins is less than 100%, that can only help us. By the same token, though, I'm not sure that Ingram will be back to full strength either.
