He was facing some serious charges- negligent homicide- among them. Grand jury trial was set for Monday. Cost him professionally (no Sr. Bowl or Combine invite). The timing seems connected to what was coming for him. However, that is not known for certain. God bless his family. May they find some closure and peace in very difficult circumstances.

Very sad situation.

Each side (LE vs Lacey’s Defense Lawyer) was presenting conflicting information.

I’m not sure we get to the truth of it now.

But for whatever reason I guess he assumed the worst and thought his life was ruined.

Multiple families lives changed forever due to a road incident that probably happened in just a few seconds.

You simply cant do reckless things that get people killed just because it suits your whims or entertains you. His incident seems like a lot more than a “mistake “. Dude was also 24 not 12

I remember watching the USC game when he acted as if he was shooting an opponent. He was flagged for the action and then went to the sideline and started showing all of his teammates on the bench how he was shooting him. It is sad to me when we don't correct things we know that will cause great harm to a person and potentially others because they are gifted or talented athletically. Lacy had a lot of issues and was going down a path that was going to lead to some type of destruction long before the wreck occurred. Personal accountability aside, it is evident CBK overlooked a lot of character flaws with KL in hopes it would win him a few more games. I personally have issue with that.
