Do we? Going on an 8 game winning streak and beating four ranked SEC teams in a row (an SEC record) is trumped by one game at the beginning of the season? Then why play the rest of the games on our schedule after the loss? If that loss was insurmountable then we should have benched Ty and the rest of the players not returning next year to get the returning players ready for next season.

My point was that we deserved the loss and we deserve the position we are in right now. Frankly, the loss propelled us into that winning streak and turned us into the team we are today. Problem is, that steak came with a cost which is the brutality of the grind leaving us limping into the end of the season. Not playing our best football in November is not where we want to be but here we are. Hopefully, we will find another gear, some inspired play by vets or some new guys step up...because we need something man.

I agree, that loss helped get this team's mindset on track. As a team identity we probably needed that loss. Unfortunately, I think this CFP committee isn't qualified to make football judgements and im afraid if we end up 10-2 in the regular season but lose the SECCG they will use the Fla State loss in week 1 as a reason to keep us out. Even though we've long made up for that loss.
