Looks like the Big12 has fared well in the SEC so far, as has the HUNH. You have a very good coach at Mizzou. The only question I have about the long term success of Mizzou is where will the recruits come from?

Are you kidding? Half the barn's football team would go ineligible on Dec 31st if not for that 8 hour home economics lab they all got full credit for when that sewing machine came out.
I think you are selling Gus a little short, just look at his recruiting success at juvie detention centers rather than high schools.

When a new team is added to a conference - it takes some time to be fully accepted...

At 11-1 overall and 7-1 in conference play this year....I think it is safe to say Mizzou has officially arrived.

I've been to Missouri a few times and it's really a cool state with a LOT of neat places to visit and a lot going on! Anyone ever heard of the institution known as the home of the throwed rolls! :)

I wish you all the best going forward and will be pulling for you on Saturday.

Yes, I've been hit in the head a couple of times with the throwed rolls. Go Mizzou!!! Y'all can do this!

I was thinking the other night how unusual it was for Auburn to go from the worst in the west to best in one season, but the same thing happened in the east as well so for this year at least it's not unusual. I think as high on Auburn as people are in wake of the Ironbowl they are a very beatable team. Their defensive secondary is terrible and aside from bad defense they can't throw the ball at all. Missu isn't afraid to throw it (like we apparently can be at times) and their defense has been pretty decent this year so It woldn't shock me to see Missu shock the shockers.

I think in the final analysis the SEC has finally fallen off it's perch. We may return next season but this year the SEC is not that strong.

One thing I can guarantee, win or lose Missouri fans are about to learn why everybody hates Auburn fans.

No more bashing barn fans for rooting against bama if you're going to do the same....hypocrite. Best of luck Missouri, play assignment football and you should be fine.

The set up is perfect for Missouri. Here's the thing. After that miracle win against Georgia, the barn got a week off to prepare for us and to come down off that high. Well, this time, there is no "week off". No. In fact, there is no time off at all. Yet, the barn being the stupid stupid barn is still thinking about us. They are still on that high. They will still be on that high come Saturday. That is when Missouri can swoop in and knock it all out from under them. This is YOUR time Missouri.

All I hear the last three days is Aubie crying about being left out of the national title game. They definitely seem to think this weekend is in the bag. I haven't seen Mizzou ad on sportcenter crying or heard much from their fans. I hope this is setting up well and Mizzou stops em... Pulling for those tigers for sure!

I was one of Missouri's harshest critics when they joined the SEC, and I still think they were a better fit in the Big 12 just because they had always been there and had some great rivalries in that conference. Unfortunately, Texas' greed tore apart what had been a proud conference, forcing Mizzou, Nebraska, Colorado, and Texas A&M to abandon ship. All that said, Missouri has had a great season and I wish them the best of luck this Saturday. Go Mizzou!

I am not pulling Mizzou, I am pulling for Alabama. Alabama has no shot of jumping Auburn if they win their game. According to Brad Edwards, Alabama has a slim chance of jumping Mizzou if they win unconvincingly.

I hope Franklin picks them apart. I also like the back up QB to do the same, if he is in. That barn D won't know what hit them. Mizzou's got those big, tall WRs that will dwarf the barn CBs.

Very good point - or Michigan State for that matter. If they beat tOSU they will be in the same position to argue for a shot.

Of the one loss teams, Alabama's loss is the least damaging, and Alabama's wins are the most impressive.

When we joined the best conference in football I dropped by here and got a lot of encouragement and some good ribbing and even a bit of hatred. Saw a post elsewhere warning us about the barners. Decided to drop by again and just say we're going to Atlanta with only one goal in mind, to knock Auburn into tomorrow. After that, depends on someone else but we're going to hold up our end. I hit ATL gameday morning and cannot wait!!

I hope you guys do it!!

Roll Tigers! :biggrin2:

The fact that this game is not at jinx-hare stadium is a HUGE plus for Missouri. The barn just won't shut up about the game last Saturday. They have no bye week to prep for Missouri. It really is perfect. On a side note, looking at the barn's 2014 schedule, they get Georgia at home for a third year in a row! How in the world did that happen?
