I really like alot of aspects about this team and coaching staff. The players seem to be responding to the coaching and improve each week. The offensive line has made drastic improvement especially since everyone is mostly healthy. Injuries and healing will be paramount for both teams (who will be playing with backups or starters). QB play and the ability to get first downs and whoever wins the turnover battle. This game will really show what both teams have got!!!

I was listening to Tom Brady last night when I was watching the Ravens vs. Cowboys.

He talked a lot about teams saying they need to "start fast." He says every team says that but there's a reason. When you start fast and get a lead he said you can play with your whole playbook, but when you get behind and the other team is dictating you have to call plays that allow you to score faster so it cuts the plays you call in half.

It was an interesting discussion, but applying it to Bama vs. Georgia I think it'll be very important that we can call plays that allow us to run and throw the ball. If we get behind and it becomes about JM having to pass to come from behind then we'll be very, very predictable and I'm afraid the Georgia defense will just bring the house and overwhelm him with pressure.

We should have the advantage on the OL and DL with UGA having several injuries, unless some of those guys are coming back?

They don't have a deep threat as far as I know, but Beck will be the best QB we've faced by far.

With the way DeBoer is scheming plays, I think we can win by more than 1 score.

For the most part I agree with what you said. What I hope to see moving forward is a consistent attack that isn’t based on the home run ball. I’d love to see the running backs / O line keep the offense on the field longer and keep our defense rested.

As you said I think their line is down a bit from last year. I’ve noticed Beck can be rattled if pressured (see last year’s SEC Championship Game).

Agreed. We've been too much feast or famine. We score quickly or we go three and out.

Hopefully, this Bama team matures into one that can sustain some drives that burn some clock.

To be completely honest, I do not feel great about this game.

We need our OL and DL to dominate. Just have to give Milroe time and have to pressure Beck. Big game from Overton would go a long way.

I guess I still have the mindset that a good running game gives you control. If you have a good defense to match it’s hard to beat.

I think I heard the announcers say that Georgia's DL is deep and can rotate. The OL is missing a key guy from injury. I can't wait until JessN write up cause I think he will give us a good picture about what is going on with injuries.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
We have just as good of chance to win this game as UGA does. They aren't the dominant team they were in their two NC years. They weren't dominant last season either. They took a step back on their DL and that has continued this season. Whether it be from injury or just not replacing talent for talent, they aren't as dominant across their defensive front as they were two and three years ago.

We just need to limit our mistakes which include turnovers and we have a good shot and hanging a "L" on them this weekend.

Offensively we are going to score points, 25-30
even against a talented UGA team. The question for me is what will we do defensively. Georgia under Bobo this year is more of a plodding, sustain drive offense, not like in years past where they stretched you vertically. My gut tells me they try to pull a “change up” and try to take advantage of our young guys in the secondary. Moore and Saab really need to help those guys like Smith, Jackson and Morgan.

Additionally, we need to find a way to pressure Beck. Above all, we need to get off the field on third and fourth downs. None of this 17 play (Whisky) and 22 play (USF) drive stuff. Georgia will want to keep our offense off the field and limit possessions.

Here's the question of the day.......what ref crew are we getting for this game? We haven't had the Autrey crew yet....so.....are we next on their rotation?
Got a bad feeling we will see him this Saturday or in Knoxville next month...or both!😖

I would bet that Vegas already know$.

Unfortunately, I just don't think that is our MO. We're a big-play offense. We literally have a chance of scoring on any play from anywhere on the field. But we're not an offense that grinds it out and scores on long, sustained drives that take time off the clock.

I believe this game will be decided by a few big plays. I think we score 3-4 times on explosive plays, but don't do a lot otherwise. I think UGA has 3-4 sustained drives, but will stall out a couple of times in the redzone.

Surprisingly, I think the big play that decides the game will come from our defense rather than our offense - a fumble recovery or interception to stop a drive late in the game to secure the victory.
