Getting Ready for Spring Battles!

Now that we don't have stuff posted in here, I seem to miss these reports - I'd love to see that if you can pass that link along, please!
Think I heard that in a podcast...maybe Clint Lamb. But he said it was 2nd hand info.

That's the Scrimmage that CKD said the QB's struggled some. But what was also said is that the defense turned up the pressure.

It's also good to remember our QBs/WRs are going up an improved DL and maybe the best defensive backfield in college football.

Last spring Ty wasn't having great spring.

Take what you learned from spring practice and apply to summer and fall camp. Both QBs should be miles ahead by August. Don't stress just yet.
Exactly, there is still a "newness" to these two quarterbacks being in a position of being relied upon to run the offense. There is still a looooong way before opening weekend and A LOT of reps and instruction to be had between now and then.

I think we can win all our games before the Oct. 10 UGA game with either/both QB's playing. Some games may be close, but these games will give them more experience. I just want them both to stay injury-free all season.

I have a feeling if Mack and Russell are really that "neck and neck" in the current race and AM is thought to only have an advantage because he knows the system better that means Russell is hands down the most talented.

And if we are going to struggle early with either, you go with Russell 100% of the time!
I don't think the coaches are looking at "in the system". They're looking at who is most consistent in making plays. This will be Russell's 2nd year in the system. According to CKD, both are light years better than last year. So we'll see.

That was the comparison of a senior Alabama writer from a paid site used to describe the situation at the beginning of spring practice.

I guess I could have said, I think Russell is the most talented guy we've ever recruited/signed at QB (which is true according to recruiting rankings) and that's why I think he wins the job, but that sounds like I don't think Mack is talented.

They both are. But one is not like the other. IMO, all Russell needs is "time" to allow his talent to win it for him.
