Going to Falcons/Packers sat nite

I'm pretty excited. I have been to a couple of NFL games in NOLA, but this will be my first game outside of the Superdome. I'm a Browns fan, so I really have no rooting interest in the game. I'm pretty excited to see Matt Ryan vs Aaron Rodgers live and in person. Should be a fun atmosphere for a night time playoff game.

Anybody got any advice on things to do around the GA Dome before the game?

I'd lay good money and say the NFC Champion comes out of this game.

I am willing to be u would be correct. Green Bay is hot right now. I got a sneaky feeling they pull the upset
I agree. I think Green Bay is the better team. I have a hard time going against the team with the better quarterback and better defense even if they are on the road.

If you haven't ever seen Green Bay in person, it's hard to believe how many fans they have at their away games--even an away playoff game. That should be a fun atmosphere.

I kind of think the QB's are a wash. Ryan has had a hell of a year, especially at home

That ought to be a great game.

I've lived in metro Atlanta for 23 years and have never been to a Falcons game (or any pro game for that matter)!

Have a great time and bring us back a Falcons victory!!

Well I just got back today, and that was an awesome time. To see Aaron Rodgers in person, well, is incredible. Just watching him in warm ups, he is as accurate a passer as I have ever seen. The dome was rocking for the first half, but that interception right at halftime killed the will of the Falcons.

The Packer fans were incredible. I would be willing to bet probably 35-40% of the fans were Packer fans. I spoke to quite a few of them on the MARTA (which I negotiated quite wonderfully for a country boy I think :) )...they are very knowledgeable about their football and were fun to talk to. The Falcons fan seemed to be looking forward to baseball season already.

On a side note, I went to a place called The Derby on Sunday AM for lunch and to watch part of the Bears game before coming home. Great food, great atmosphere. Especially the guy that came in dressed up like the Bears super fan. We all toasted to "Da' Bears" before I left lol.

I saw the Packers play the Saints in New Orleans on a Monday night in 2008. There were probably 15,000 Green Bay fans at that game. It was in late November and the Packers were not even in a playoff race.

One of the FOX announcers for the Atlanta game commented that a lot of Green Bay fans attend the road games because it is easier and less expensive to get a ticket to the road games than it is to get a ticket for a game at Lambeau. They also have a very large national following like the Cowboys, Bears, and Steelers so whatever city you are in you will find their fans.
