I wanted to come over to tell all you Bama fans that you have one hell of a team. That was by far the best team we played all year and it went right down to the end. That truely was like a prize fight with both teams slugging it out. I thought both teams brought their "A" game and it was a classic that people will be talking about for many many years.
It was great to be back in Atlanta with the Bama fans. For years the SEC championship game had become the "annual UF BAMA game" and the way both programs are going it should be that way again.
I was in Atlanta and had a great time talking to Tide fans before and after the game. It seemed like the fans got along better than any two sets of fans I have seen all year. Thats something especially considering what a big game it was. All teams have their share of idiot fans, but it feels like there is a mutual respect between these programs and fans.
I have to admit, I did not think Bama was going to be able to be as physical with us as they were. Talent wise, by far, you guys were the best team I have seen us play this year. Tebow proved to be the difference between these teams on Saturday but at the start of the third quarter, I really thought we were going down. That was honestly the best game I have ever seen in person. Neither team was going to lose the game, someone was going to have to win it. Probably the two best teams in the country in my opinion.
I know losing stinks, but you guys should really hold your heads high given the way you played. You should really feel better knowing that your future looks bright.
Why do I have a sneaking feeling that these two teams will meet in Atlanta several more times in the comming years? Good luck in the Sugar Bowl.
