The players can fund themselves as much as they are making now. Heck, the LANK gang will just choose and pick which players they want to start anyway.
Ticket holders who have seen their ticket packages double over the past few years will really appreciate that.I'm not donating a dime. The best thing to do is what Tennessee did and add a 20% "athlete fee" to every ticket and go that route. It's the "cleanest", most consistent way to do it. Do it to every sport on campus.
Well, if they need money they need money. I'm just making a suggestion that another program has done and their stadium is still full.Ticket holders who have seen their ticket packages double over the past few years will really appreciate that.
Or the Power Company asking me to “add a dollar” each month to help cover the bills of those “unfortunate”. My response? Why don’t you take a dollar (or two) from what you get paid each month by each of your customers and throw it into the till?Reminds me of retail stores where the cashier asks if you want to round up to help with this or that cause.
My standard reply is "Why don't you round down? As a consumer....don't I get a break once in a while?"
This is akin to the rich asking the poor for a handout. The plan can't look like this. The schools need to look for more legitimate ways for these kids to earn NIL, not ask the fans to crowd fund their wealth building project.I understand the sentiment from the overwhelming majority.
At the same time this is the new landscape. It’s either get on board, or get left behind, right?
I love the U of A. There has to be a plan to keep up.
I have a problem with asking fans, but My biggest problem is the manner in which it was asked. It looks a little pathetic. And I mostly have a favorable opinion of Greg ByrneThis is akin to the rich asking the poor for a handout. The plan can't look like this.
