Guillon

So I click on the link to read the story at TideSports, and--NO LIE--check out the ad in the upper right hand corner. I had to get a screenshot of it when I got up off the floor I was rolling around on, laughing.

Sad, strange coincidence, or freakin' hilarious? You decide.

That's pretty funny! There is a type of advertising called "contextual advertising" that scans the text of a Web site for keywords and returns ads to the Web page based on what the user is viewing, either through ads placed on the page or pop-up ads. Obviously Guillon's past back injury was mentioned in the article.

Gmail for example scans your emails and then places Contextual Advertising based on the content of your email!

Yep...just another example that we have "1984" in place already, just a few years late...

I do wish Marc the best. I am sure he and Coach Shula sat down and discussed his leaving. I can't not speak for Coach or Marc but the schedule should have allowed him (Marc) plenty of playing time. It just did not work out that way. Not knowing the situation I will say thanks and good luck MG. :BigA:
Signal calling will also have to be adjusted because it was the primary job of Marc Guillon, who left the team this week. “Marc was great on the sideline," Shula said.
FWIW! ;)

I love all the comments about how teams are now all of a sudden going to go after the QB since MG is no longer backing him up...... I bet FL and Duke were saying, don't put any pressure on the QB or MG will step in.... Sorry, could not resist. Pressuring the QB is a big part of the game. Maybe these remarks were made with illegal/thug mentality in mind, but the teams/players who are going to do that would be trying to do it no matter who the backup is.

Would not be too hard on Shula - keeping backups happy can be a hard task. The way this season has played out so far, there just has not been much opportunity. Also, it is not like MG had not been around long enough that he could not have stepped in - it is not like he was a true or redshirt freshman that might be overcome by being thrust into a game situation. People transfer all the time due to lack of playing time, you just wish the timing was better. Who knows, maybe, hopefully the backup will not be needed this season.

I guess MG just failed to learn the primary QB rule. Playing time, like respect, is not given, but must be earned. If he wanted to be the starting QB on the playing field he should have given and shown more on the practice field.

Its not that difficult to signal in plays. I can teach someone in about a day. I do it with the little league in football and baseball. The kids now learn things so fast it is scary. I have three players who can signal in 15 plays a game. They are only 11 and 12 years old.

Something tells me Guillon wasn't the only one calling in signals since there was a chance he could have become the starter if JPW was injured. That would mean someone else would have to send in signals had JPW hurt his arm somehow. RIGHT! :BigA:

Will MG have any eligibility left, can he transfer a lower div. and play next year?
