Gulf Shores/Orange Beach restaurant suggestions

Hey tidefans, need some recommendations on restaurants in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area.

I am kinda partial to live bait...but to be honest with you, you cant go wrong with any of the seafood places around the beach.

So many places....

The first place that I make sure to eat at when I get down to Gulf Shores is The Original Oyster House. Other favorites include Sea n Suds, Desoto's, Jake's, and whatever else is along the beach. Dang, thinking about all those places makes me want to be down there right now. Well, maybe not right now with another hurricane coming close by.

Lunch/dinner

Neptune's, across from the zoo (on HWY 59) or what's left of the zoo....best quality food for the price....not fancy...just good eats.

Breakfast

Tacky Jacks...rustic to say the least...on the bay in Orange Beach...bring your drinking hat...do a Farmers' Omlet...I get the small one....do not be in a rush during the tourist season.

I have not a clue if either place is open after Katrina. If so, you will enjoy!!!

Beach Restaurants that have re-opened since Hurricane Ivan

Some fav's are:

Bahama Bob's
Live Bait
Shrimp Basket (great for lunch)
Lulu's
Original Oyster House always a good choice
Hazel's Family Restaurant (good for kids -- nice buffet)

Oh, and on your way in or out of the Gulf Shores area, don't forget this one in Foley:

Lamberts: Home of Throwed Rolls, and boy are those rolls good!
