I believe we're recruiting him as a safety but if he continues to grow a move to linebacker certainly wouldn't be out of the question.

The Florida State contingent in message board land feels very confident that Clinton-Dix is theirs, despite what he's saying publicly. He's apparently got a couple friends/former teammates who are at FSU.

Well some of his recent comments make it seem as if he was really thinking about committing to FSU on his last visit recently, and it was just a matter of time before he eventually would. But he didn't want to rush and wanted to talk to his family first, and apparently he's changed his mind because he's got Alabama and Notre Dame at the top it seems.

As has been proven in the past, the whole teammate or former teammate going to one school only goes so far sometimes.

We are recruiting him as a safety. Some schools are recruiting him as a cornerback. He plays both extremely well.

This guy is a beast! I hope he comes to Bama. He can defend the pass as well as stop the run. He even looks like he plays with a bit of nastiness. I can picture him as a dominant headhunter in our D!:BigA:

I am not to worried about FSU in this fight. FSU either knows they will not get him or they do not see him that high on their board. They just got their 5th safety for 2011.

I love his speed and he takes the correct angles in coverage and pursuit. Instinctive tackler. He reminds me of a Roman Harper or Kevin Jackson. Hope he ends up like them and comes to UA

The DBs are starting to look good to the basketball program. One day we're going to see 6'2"+ across the back wall on some downs. No GT-wishbone-type team wants Alabama on it's schedule.

Very interesting update from USC's Rivals site: Clinton-Dix was quoted that he wants to leave the state of Florida. Good sign for us, obviously.

Also, USC just offered and he's interested, but hasn't spoken to the coaches or visited the school.

Also, I saw on Scout there was an article posted yesterday about him naming a leader... but I don't have access. I know in the past he has named Bama his leader, but is there anything new to report from the Scout article for those of you who have access??? :cool2:

He reminds me a lot of Mark Barron. I think he could be a real beast in Saban's system. I'm excited about the possibilities. :biggrin2:
