Have we ever had a good Aurburn fan hang out of TF?

I've been around TF for about 10 years now...first as Slidell-based "Nawlins Tide" and now as (a happier) Gulf Shores-based "Proxigean". During the past decade, one interesting and endearing characteristic of TF is its ability to attract nice, sane, intelligent and friendly rival posters who join in and provide great info, solid football discussion and valuable opinions.

We've had (and still have) a few great posters and contributors from Tennessee, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, Oklahoma, UCLA, Michigan...many of which hang around long after the "big game" which prompted their original visit.

Now the question: Has TF ever had an Auburn fan hang out and become a frequent or even semi-frequent poster? I'm trying to remember any while I'm sure there are some around during Iron Bowl week, I'm drawing a blank.

Ha! I always wondered what happened to 'Nawlins'! I remember your posts back then were my favorite to read. Always insightful and well thought-out.

As for your question, I don't recall any.

We have had a few. They don't post very often but I see them on other message boards. We also have a couple we have banned who are still here under different names posing as someone besides an Auburn fan.

This is a fact only board fiction posts like this even hypothetical ones should not be tolerated!

I have never seen one myself. Kinda like Bigfoot somewhere in the back of your mind you think it might possibly exist in some remote jungle island I suppose.

That's funny...probably should've paid more attention to what I was writing. :)

Over the years (and presently) we've had some really great rival posters from UT, FL, LSU, etc, whose opinions I've looked forward to reading and respected highly. I don't know if Auburn fans are just too full of hate for Bama to hang out here, but I wouldn't mind posting on an Auburn, UT or LSU board if I knew the discussion wouldn't quickly degrade.

It seems there would be at least a few Auburn fans that would enjoy civily discussing the SEC college game we all love.

There are two good Auburn fans around. One sleeps next to me and a beautiful hazel eyed blond 5 year old that calls me Daddy.

There are, I think, two U. of Auburn fan who posts from time to time. Deceks7, I think is one and Tailgater is the other. Their privilge of posting would seem to indicate a level of "goodness", TF-wise.

For whatever reason, TF doesn't attract Bama fans who are hyper-obsessed with AU, although no Bama board approaches the obsession level that the AU boards have with Bama. If you don't believe me, just go to one of the free AU boards and count the number of threads having to do with Bama, Saban, etc, and compare them to here. As you would expect from the percentage of Bama-related threads on the AU boards, there's a much higher level of venom and mindless hatred. Take folks who are accustomed to that type of atmosphere, and you can see that they are not likely to last very long here - and they don't. Do the posters on the AU represent the body of AU fans? Well, one would be moved to hope not, but there is some correlation...

The thing that has always cracked me up, is that the agbarn fans cannot understand the difference in the way they obsess over us and talk about Bama...and the way we talk about them being obsessed with us. To them, our discussion of their obsession with us qualifies as talking about them. They are so easily confused.

There isn't a nickels worth of difference between barners and WVU'eers. The scout boards in general seem to simmer at all times.

Deceks7 posts from time to time, and is actually is pretty rational in his posts. He seems to be pretty scarce lately, but he is the only one I can think of right now.

I thought Deceks was a bama fan that had his logo changed for posting about his post count.
