I'm looking for a headphone with noise cancelling and Bluetooth capabilities. I plan to use them while working on my tractor so they need to be able to provide good noise reduction and last 3 to 4 hours on a charge. Any one have experience with a set you would recommend? Thanks.

I have a couple options that I would potentially offer...

As far as direct experience, I haven't done the research into different models, but I was gifted some Apple Airpod Pro 2 headphones. They have active noise cancellation and bluetooth. I have mainly used the noise cancellation when flying, and I would give them pretty high marks for effectiveness. They are comfortable to me as well. Link: Apple Air Pod Pro 2

The headphones I use most are open ear bone conduction type. I run/bike in these, but also use these for yardwork, etc. If I am running a small engine, I put in foam ear plugs (which increase the effectiveness of the bone conduction). During the loudest of environments, the sound from the headphones can be difficult to hear, but I prefer the bone conduction for outdoor activities like running & biking where I can still hear the surrounding environment. The link to specific model I own is: Shokz OpenRun. Flying with these is also ok. I have at times also used foam ear plugs while flying, and that worked well for me.

I have a set of Beats earbuds and an over ear covering set. Both of them are noise cancelling, and I use both from time to time while on the tractor or lawnmower. Both of them work well and certainly help at noise level reduction and if you want to listen to music or a podcast.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to stick with a headset. I'm worried about losing the ear buds.

Same reason I gave up my Apple Airpod Pro's to my daughter. Plus my ear canals don't match, so I never felt like I had the best fit.

However, noise cancellation was very good on the Airpod Pro's. Just wouldn't stay in my ears. Especially if I was sweating. Also had a pair of JBL earbuds that had very good noise cancellation. Same story. But both were great on an airplane, when I'm not moving around much. Also, my wife and I both have a pair of the Shokz mentioned above. I do love the "bone conduction" concept. The Shokz are good, especially when one needs to be engaged with others; while listening to a "ballgame", for instance. :)

Last fall, I decided to cough up the extra dough for "over the ear" phones. Just as I was about to breakdown and order the Apple Airpod Max's, Sonos came out with the Sonos Ace.

I opted for the Sonos Ace's and I absolutely love them. Just made a trip to Europe, and they were on my head the entire flight, over and back.

Got them for the introductory price, which was considerably cheaper than the Airpod Max's, but I think they still sell for a good bit less than the Airpod Max's.

Disclaimer: I have an extensive array of Apple products and Sonos products, so I was going with one of those two choices because they interact so seamlessly with their respective systems.

Bottom line: I think "over the ear" phones will serve you best on your tractor.

Happy shopping. :)

For bluetooth headsets I've been pretty happy with both the Sennheiser Momentums and the AirPods Max (my preference). Both are a compromise but both offer good sound and solid noise reduction. Both have roughly 10 hours wireless playback.
