I have come to talk football...that's it. The last two years I have REALLY enjoyed talking with all of you the week before. Two years ago I came back on here after the game and gave my congratulations. Last year I didn't come back at all. I really look forward to finding out more about your football team and hopefully sharing some things with you.

Here's to a great game.

:)

Thanks a lot. I am looking forward to a great week and great weekend of football. I just hope you don't do to us what you did two years ago on the first play of the game...... I WAS THERE  You guys have a storied program that we are trying to establish. We model ourselves after programs like yours and I believe we are getting there. We have a really young, but really talented group of men this year. Most predict us to struggle, but I believe we will surprise a lot of folks. Texas should have been beaten, but we just couldn't finish. I look forward to the matchup with ya.

Welcome!

It'll be a good 'un! Personally, I'm a big fan of your Coach. I think Nutt is great with the players and he gets the most out of them. Ours is a young team as well, but a young one on a mission set on redeeming themselves from last year's debacle...

Welcome and I have to say that I hate Matt Jones! He is one scary

player to the teams who are playing against him! He'll be a big time pro player too! I just home we can somehow take him out of his game and dictate was he can do!

tennhogfan04,

How have the Hogs fared this year against the run? One thing you know you can count on this week is that we are going to run the ball. We've had three running backs that have each run for at least 85 yards in a game this season. Admittedly, the competition hasn't been that strong; but our running game seems to be clicking thus far and we will be depending on it more than ever.

Welcome, TennHog...

These two teams normally produce a pretty entertaining game. Seems like there's ALWAYS something to talk about afterwards!

I believe Arkansas is getting some well-deserved respect after playing Texas as closely as you did. You guys are super-tough playing at home.

We'll find out a little more about our team on Saturday. Losing Brodie was tough, really tough. I hate it for him and his folks more than anything.

We have a talented, but very young group. Unfortunately, youth and inexperience usually show themselves more when you're on the road. Our boys have a lot going for them, though.

I like our enthusiasm and excitement level, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Matt Jones and Co. will give us a good test.

Here's hoping the best team wins,

I love how your board is set up. Makes replying to each individual

much easier as you can look just below to what each poster had to say. WELL DONE!

Trenda,

The hogs are much like my other team-the titans. We have been a much better run defense in the past. However as the colts picked on my titans sunday :frown: , I believe many(as ULM did in the first half Sat) will pick on our young secondary. Brody would have probably picked us apart. I hear your backup is VERY talented though. Benson and Texas however ran the ball at will and as another poster in another thread mentioned, if they had continued to do so, the game may have been out of reach. To sum it up, I don't believe we know too much about our defense just yet. If the defense that played against ULM the first half shows up, YOU WIN. If the defense that held them to less than 80 yards the second half shows up, we have a chance.

Uatlanta tider,

I agree, most times we meet = a great game. This one may prove to be the best of all time. They are both young and hungry. MAY NOONE GET HURT!!
I don't believe however, that we are getting anykind of respect after the Texas game. Even if we had beaten them(as we should) we wouldn't have.

Appreciate it, Tennhog.

It looks as though there may two things to watch in this game. If Bama's OL can control the LOS, we stand a great chance. And if Guillon is able to get the passing game going to open up the running lanes, it may be Katie Bar the Door.

I'll be interested to see if we can slow down that WR and RB for the hogs. Not to mention that QB. What's his name? ;)
