Gadsden 54, Etowah 52
ATTALLA - Cory Marbury hit a driving layup with :07 left in the game to lift Gadsden past Class 5A, Area 13, rival Etowah, 54-52, in boys' high school basketball Tuesday.
Javon Walker led the Tigers with 19 points. Marbury had 14 points and Pierre Edwards had 10.
Ben Cheatwood had 12 points for Etowah. Brandon Smith had 11.
Gadsden (8-15, 5-3) hosts Fort Payne Friday.
Ashville 76, Moody 59
MOODY - Ashville had three players in double figures, en route to a 76-59 win over Moody.
B.J. Cranford led the Bulldogs (18-2, 6-0 in St. Clair County action) with 15 points. Brandon Woods scored 12 and Shawn Smith had 10.
For Moody, Tavarius Swann had 15 points and Jonathan Taylor scored 11.
Westbrook 62, Gaylesville 60
GAYLESVILLE - Jamie Hollingsworth hit a 3 to tie the game at 60 and Josiah Hooper nailed a layup as time expired as Westbrook edged Gaylesville, 62-60.
Hooper led the Warriors with 20 points. Nathan Greer had 12 and Andy Wright had 10.
Westbrook (9-11) hosts Sand Rock Tuesday.
Sylvania 71, Valley Head 45
SYLVANIA - Tyler Brooks scored 18 points as Sylvania defeated Valley Head, 71-45.
Also for the Rams, Chase Flynn had 13 points. Adam Lawrence had 12 and Casey Rogers scored 10.
Jeremy Edgeworth led Valley Head with 16 points.
Sylvania (10-8) hosts Section Thursday.
Weaver 66, Glencoe 60
WEAVER - Weaver slid past Glencoe, 66-60, with a 24-point performance by Marcus Herbert.
Corey Ramsey and Ryan Bullock scored 14 and 10 points, respectively, for Weaver.
Glencoe's Keith Cofield had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Andy Walker had 11 points. Carson Quinn had 10. Derek Daugherty had 10 rebounds.
Glencoe (14-9) visits Ashville Friday.
Coosa 82, Hope 39
Coosa had three players in double figures, led by Tim Gourlay's 16 points, in an 82-39 win over Hope.
Stephen Rodgers had 15 points and Brian Snead had 13 for the Conquerors (8-6).
Jason Houser scored 11 for Hope.
Coosa plays at Trinity Thursday.
Crossville 91, Ider 66
CROSSVILLE - Jake Peek poured in 43 points as Crossville trounced Ider, 91-66.
Kent Colvin had 24 points for the Lions.
Geraldine 56, Collinsville 44
GERALDINE - Corey Bryant scored 24 points as Class 2A, No. 3, Geraldine beat Collinsville, 56-44.
Geraldine's Dewayne Dalton had 12 points.
Cody McAteer led Collinsville with 13 points.
Geraldine (21-3) hosts Class 2A, Area 13, rival Crossville Friday.
Springville 65, Ragland 55
RAGLAND - Springville beat St. Clair County rival Ragland, 65-55.
Blake Campbell had 12 points for Ragland. Derek Smith scored 11 and Daniel Shaddix had 10.
Ragland plays at Spring Garden Friday.
