This was, as they say, PRICELESS...

Showed up for our reservations to a nice French restaurant in Buckhead last night. As we approach the maitre d's podium, there is a couple speaking to two of the hostesses. The gentleman is wearing a big Gator T-shirt, which doesn't meet the established dress code. He looks over at me with my black jacket emblazoned with the Crimson Tide logo and asks "and that's OK??!!" The discussion goes on for a few moments during which she explains that my group and I were satisfactory in appearance, and that he would have to leave.

HAHA!!!!!

For some reason when I see that picture, it reminds me of the Auburn Mens' Swim Team photo shoot. I wished I had a copy that picture to paste here.

My wife and I commented on the GENERAL (for you contrarians out there) disparity of dress between the Alabama fan base and the Florida fan base. Florida fans tended to be more of the windsuit/jersey crowd, while Alabama fans tended to look more like they are going to church. Just an interesting as hoc observation.

Changing the subject, was there anything more ridiculous than the City of Atlanta deciding that Saturday morning would be a good time to close down, say, Peachtree Street and Centennial Park right there at the Dome? I was unable to get to my hotel on Peachtree until about 12:30 Saturday afternoon.
