AMHERST, N.Y. — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (search) collapsed while delivering a speech to a local Chamber of Commerce and was taken to a nearby hospital, a Buffalo radio station reported Monday.

Supposedly stomach flu related according to The Corner.

Too many "rubber chicken" luncheons maybe. I don't wish food poisoning on anyone.

True. The stuff is really insidious. A friend and I once stopped for takeout hamburgers at a fast-food joint. Later that night he was stricken with violence at both ends and I experienced no symptoms whatsoever. It's still a mystery. Could be Hillary got the only contaminated drumstick at that luncheon.

When we traveled back in the "dark" ages before there were fast food places, my father used to run us crazy holding out for a "better looking" restaurant. There were no interstates then either, so you'd wind your way through all the little "jerk-water" towns. The rest of us would be weak and almost sick before he'd agree to stop and let us eat.

Sooooooo when I "growed up", I made up my mind that I wouldn't do my children that way. While on our way to Sarasota to visit friends, my daughter whined about being hungry. I told her that if she'd let me get through Tampa that I'd stop at the first place we saw to eat. I did!!! I kept my promise!!! Ughhhhh...that night the three of us all got sick as dogs...

Learn the hard way! Father know best!!!

I've known some bad Totesums in my day.

My dad is that way. I thought maybe it was the fact he got sick at some greasy spoon once, but I think it's more of a generational thing.

In his trips to FL to visit us, he's always leery of eating someplace he hasn't been before. But, once he goes to a place once and it turns out OK, he wants to go back time and again. Heh - like we're going to take him someplace that will make him sick. Even further, I don't even know of a bad restaurant here. I haven't found one yet.

But that bait shop with the beer joint behind it. Man that was the best. ;)

When 13 in B'ham was reporting this they were showing footage of Billery greeting people and giving each person a kiss on each cheek. I told my wife that if she, or anyone else for that matter, had the flue then I dang sure wouldn't be kissing them on the cheek.
