RIP Mr. West. I never missed an episode of Batman when I was a kid. Was too young to quite understand my fascination with Cat Woman, but boy was I fascinated!

He was in an episode of "The Big Valley' that I had seen a couple times...the latest just a couple days ago. Good looking man with a strong voice. From what I read, he had trouble getting roles after his Batman work. Had to downsize and moved to Idaho from his digs in California.

I grew up watching Batman as well and am saddened to see so many of our generation's performing artists pass away.

RIP Mr. West....you were VERY good at your craft!

LA to send up the Bat Signal to honor Adam West

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti will light the Bat-Signal over Los Angeles in a special ceremony honoring the late Adam West, who starred in the 60s Batman TV series as the Caped Crusader himself.


The ceremony will be conducted on Thursday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m. PST at Los Angeles City Hall. Garcetti will be joined by unnamed special guests for the tribute, along with Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck.


Once lit, the Bat-Signal will be projected on Los Angeles City Hall for an undisclosed period of time.
