How do we match up with Oklahoma?

I respect ya GrayTide but don’t you say that about all our tough games 🤪
That may be true, but GrayTide could be on top of this one.

For some reason we always end up getting pantsed by them regardless of whether we have the better team or not. They have our number the way we have Georgia’s.

We lost two of our last three games to them when we had a vastly superior team, and frankly it felt like they ran out of time in the one we won.

I’ve seldom wanted to be wrong more in my life, but until I see us actually show up for a game against them, I’m going to be skeptical of our chances.

Maybe the home field for this one will break the curse.

2002: Oklahoma had a vastly superior team but somehow we were in a position to win the game going into the 4th

2003: Oklahoma again had a vastly superior team but let us hang around

2013: I honestly think Auburn beat us twice and that is what it boiled down to

2018: Equal teams with us slightly better on defense. We won comfortably.

2024: It was the definition of what happens when someone actually schemes for a quarterback like Jalen Milroe and follows through. I honestly think talent was far more equal than what appeared on paper. Milroe was a one read quarterback going against a team built to stop the run. The game was effectively over when they forced Milroe to pretend he was Tom Brady.

I dont see this as a trend like us and Georgia. Its more like us and Auburn under Gus. We just have only played them 3 times since 2007 and they are 2-1 against us. Georgia meanwhile is 1-8.

I "get" what you're saying, I just don't buy the argument.

Now - I will say this: if we play the way we played against LSU, we are going to lose, plain and simple. However - since the FSU game, it's almost like DeBoer has managed to put aside some of the nonsense, and if he can keep it up, we'll be okay.
