How many here

You jest "BB"! There must be something in the water west of the Mississippi different from what we drink here in the South. (oops...I forgot that you're also west of the Miss - lol). Well...further west.............>>>>>>>>>>>

From the article:

The essay contends the hijackers who crashed airplanes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on Sept. 11 were "combat teams," not terrorists.

It states: "The most that can honestly be said of those involved on Sept. 11 is that they finally responded in kind to some of what this country has dispensed to their people as a matter of course."

The essay maintains that the people killed inside the Pentagon were "military targets."

"As for those in the World Trade Center," the essay said, "well, really, let's get a grip here, shall we? True enough, they were civilians of a sort. But innocent? Gimme a break."

***************************

How stupid can a person be? "Stupid is as stupid does" (in this case...as stupid writes) :p  :mad2:

There's another expression...Streyer's (sp) signature: "Stupidity should be painful"

Professors need publicity, too.

But the responses in the story were so civilized and tepid. How about, "Hey, you tweedy bag of guts with the dust bunny brain. How'd you like my combat team to shove a stump up your *7& #!!*&D rectum?"

So, I guess that Professor Churchill will understand if a survivor or family member of someone lost on 9/11 bashes his head in with a brick. After all, they would only be responding in kind to his actions...

He looks like the love child of Lou Reed and Don Imus.

It was a rhetorical question Nancye. I certainly do not agree with this guy. Most assuredly he had no one he loved personally that died there. I myself felt like I had the living S$$$ kicked outta my stomach for weeks. I am still angry in fact. Furthermore my kids will grow up knowing the truth. This guy is a nut. Look at his background.

It was about 2-3 months before I could hear a jet plane fly over and not think it was headed toward some bldg. near me(I worked downtown then).

Man, what a dark period.

My company had a catastrophic layoff the very next week.

Man, what a dark period.

Good way of describing it.

I went home that evening(9/11) and cut my grass.

My neighbor told me two days later that when she heard my lawn mower start up, she realized the world WASN'T about to come to an end.

I knew you didn't "BB". I didn't mean for it to sound that way if you thought I did.

Pluck,

I wouldn't be nearly as angry if he had limited his commentary to the military target, but his entire premise is wrong. Somehow, the victims are responsible for the attack? We said or did something to **** them off, so they now have the righteous authority to kill innocent women and children? Somehow they hold the high ground?

His premise reminds me of the time when women were blamed for their rapes because they dressed too provocatively. This was certainly not a victimless crime, as the Professor would like us to believe...

I think the professor's not only a moron, but he's a masochist, too, and puts kick-me signs on himself on purpose.

He probably calls Dr. Laura and tells her he cheats on his wife.

Good analogy.
