6 - 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, & 2011.

I do not remember 1973 (only 4 years old) but remember watching the rest of them. I was able to attend my first national championship game last week and it was great to be there at the game. RTR

We can tell how old you are by the number Bama has won..

Bama has won 6 in my lifetime. 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009 and 2011. These are Consensus National Championships.

I'm right there with you Goose. Six and I'm hoping I'll see many more in this new golden era of Bama football!!!

6 in my lifetime. I was born in 1969, but did not become a fan until 1978. I would appreciate at least 6 more. My favorite was '92 until this year's championship. It's a great time to be an Alabama fan. CNS is the man and boy does he look happy. ROLL TIDE.

Me too - 9 of 14. I remember the excitement in the house for 61 - We went to visit my grandad and he took my mom and dad to the game. After that, they are all pretty vivid.
