I haven't found Comcast service to be bad. Rarely have a disruption of service. I usually communicate with them via Twitter. For me, there is a lot to like. What issues do you have with internet service?
Comcasts tv and perks with tv were great for me, but for whatever reason the internet just sucked for me personally. I was constantly having to schedule call backs. So I just got rid of it and switched to Direct TV and AT&T and have had 0 problems. But for most they have the opposite experience.

Internet can be spotty or slow for no obvious reason. Over the summer, it was out intermittently several times a day, no warning. And when it was on, it was often slow. I was doing a bit of consulting work then, and it was a huge inconvenience.

Seems to have gotten better lately, but there is significant history. Also had them for several years in a burb of Birmingham, and it was awful. Cable went out if it sprinkled outside, let alone rained. Finally switched to DirecTV, and for all DTV’s flaws, it was a lot better than Comcast there. When we moved to Tuscaloosa, the previous owner already had Xfinity, and I didn’t want to go through the rigamaroll of switching, so I just kept it.

I mean it really doesn’t matter what political affiliation you are because this impacts everyone, but people should email their senators and reps and ask for laws against bundling for tv channels.

Ive gone through all of them at some point and they all have their advantages and disadvantages. But Comcast and Xfinity was probably my worst experience internet wise but I think it is more because everyone in my apartment complex has it. When I switched to At&T absolutely no internet problems. Havent had to call them once.

As far as streaming services... eh Ive never seen the big differences to justify either Youtube or Hulu for me personally. Hulu probably has more content that I want, but I could get 90% of it elsewhere. But to each their own.

I was waiting for business hours Monday to call and blast them, and quit. Now... In comparison to some I look like I'm calm and collected, not the raving mad dog my wife sez I am. My wife sez my temper is like a Doberman that was offered bad Chicken.
When I got the news I checked and my channels and saved programs were returned.

I have said since I cut the cord (7 years ago), I wish there was an a la carte of channels or Disney/ABC, or whichever station, would just charge us streamers say $20 and you only get their channels.

That's been the dream of pretty much every cord cutter who likes sports. Disney will never do it IMO because they know people like us MUST have ESPN, and we are willing to pay at least $60/month for it. Honestly, in this day and age, there is simply no reason to have live TV anymore except for sports. Disney knows it, and they aren't going to offer ESPN by itself for a cheaper price when they know we'll pay whatever they ask for it. It's a crappy situation, but as Coach Saban would say, "It is what it is".

If you allowed Disney to do that, then I guarantee you that that Sinclair isn’t far behind in doing it also. And that is not a good thing for anyone. Especially sports fans.

I use YouTube TV as well. I've been with them for a while, ever since it started at $40.

FYI: If you are a T-Mobile customer, sign up through the following link and you can save $10 a month for as long as you are a T-Mobile customer: T-Mobile Promotions

The feature I love best about YTTV is the unlimited DVR. You can search for your sports teams, like Alabama Football and Alabama Basketball, and it will record all the games, regardless of what channel they air on. You do not have to seek out each channel and setup different recording schedules. It does a pretty good job of extending recordings if a game runs long as well. It's not perfect but, it better then other services I have tried.

This goes for any show, not just sports teams. Say you are a huge fan of CSI New Orleans. It will record it whenever it airs on any channel on the service, not just the main CBS network. There is no way to set it to new shows only but, since you have unlimited DVR storage, who cares anyway. The only draw back to the DVR is that it only saves recordings for 9 months but, if it re-airs on any channel (and most things do), the clock starts over.
I completely agree with YouTube TV. For those trying to rid themselves of cable, YTTV is absolutely the best. Included are all Espn channels, the SEC channel, Fox Sports channels, all local TV channels and much more. Get you a Roku or a Firestick and make the switch. I am convinced it is the best alternative to cable. With YTTV, you can stream up to three tvs (all three on different channels). Their closest competitor (HULU) only allows simultaneous streaming on two tvs and their DVR is no match compared to YTTV.
Also, if you are not an online gamer, you don't need super high--speed internet. We had 200mbs at first and, after doing some research online, I discovered that speed was more than we needed. To save money, I changed to 100mbs speed and can still stream three tvs and use a computer online simultaneously without any buffering. Don't be fooled, you don't need 500 or 1000mbs speed unless you are an online gamer or have a business with a dozen computers online.
Yes, YTTV is a bit expensive ($65 per month). But after we dropped cable and started streaming, we are still saving $80 per month.

I had made up my mind to either go with Hulu or Direct TV streaming.
THEN...
YouTube or Google settled... Moot point now.
I wonder if YouTube and Google got the NASTY-GRAMS I sent them???
(Somebody had to do it, and I'm not bashful)

You and herds of angry subscribers on Twitter threatening to switch, with Hulu right there in the thread welcoming the new.

Well I finally cut the cable to the DirecTV ball and chain. I wanted to get a heads up on what services are out there for me to watch Alabama games on streaming services. Any input is much appreciated. Thank you!
If you want a streaming service for internet and TV at home voodoo streams. IF you want an app dofu sports.
