Looks as if it will rain this Friday. This should help us out this.

I believe this will help since Auburn secondary is not that good; as well this may slow down their pass rush. Julio and Maze should have an even better game than if the field were dry. This would also slow down the sweep plays that Auburn likes to run.

I don't know where you are getting this. Rain usually helps the team with a dominant running game. That 'aint us.

Rain slows you down...and anything that slows down Newton and Dyer will be to our advantage. I am also hoping that the rain will slow down Auburn's pass rush or will at least make it easier to push them around outside of the pocket.

One thing is certain...a wet field makes it much easier to cause turnovers...and if we can be on the good side of that...it really helps our chances of controlling the game.

Heavy rain does, but it slows everybody down, not just the most threatening members of the opposing team.

This. And crowds are usually a bit more subdued when under rain jackets. Rain on Friday will not be good for the home team.

What rain? I've checked 3 different forecast, and they all call for rain on Thursday, NOT Friday.

Friday is suppose to be cold, highs in the upper 40's and probably a strong north wind. No rain, it should pass through mid day on Thursday.

There once was an Iron Bowl that had plenty of rain and several turnovers. One little run won that game.
There was also the Tornado Bowl of 1983 and the icefest of 2000. Neither of them had happy endings.

Let's hope for cold, clear weather of say . . . 1971!!!

The best team still should win... can't remember a game where weather was the sole reason that caused a team to win or lose.

Looking at the match up of our recievers against Auburn secondary the rain is to our advantage, since our recievers know were there going. Because Auburn has no secondary from what I have seen of them this year. We start out passing we can run on them later. Also the ball is usually not that slick since the balls can be switched out as the ball gets wet. Sometimes they cover up the ball as well.

I don't see Bryant Denny being subdued on Friday as important as this game is. I know I want, and the section we are in will be loud.
