Hurricane brings out best in UT/UF

As you are all probably aware, the UT/Florida rivalry has gotten quite big over the past few years. Every year here in Knoxville, the two weeks before the Florida game have always been flooded with "gator hater" attitudes. But due to the hurricane, this year is a little different. This year many are calling this time "gator helper week", and funds are being raised to help with all the hurricane damage. Its nice to see that some things rise above football, even for big rivals.

Report from WPMI and WKRG:

Gulf Shores Fire Dept. had doors and roof blown off. Firemen had to form a human chain to get into the Police Dept. This is looking absolutly horrific guys. I'm praying for everyone down and around there. I can only pray our home survives in OB.

Hoping all goes well with Ivan

The members of the local Crimson Tide Linebackers Club in Poughkeepsie NY wish all our friends in Alabama the best of luck and safety with the storm. I'll take my chances with a blizzard anytime over the tornadoes and hurricanes you folks are getting.
