Watching CBS NFL today and they had a commercial for the UT and Auburn game next week. I'm shocked CBS picked that game (they still get first pick right?), but I'm sure ESPN will scoop up the Bama game for primetime.
We are on ESPN. It's one of those weekends where ESPN had the first choice or CBS passed on the first choice.Watching CBS NFL today and they had a commercial for the UT and Auburn game next week. Espn gets 3 or 4 priority picks a year. I believe they have to decide who they want to use for them before the season starts though, but I may be wrong on this part. I am not sure how this will change once the new tv contracts start up.Someone else may remember better, but I thought that ESPN got first pick something like 4 times a season. I can't see CBS passing it up, given a choice...
Gameday announced today that they will be in Athens for the game. I will try and find a link with the info if I can.i am sure espn had the first choice. how could anyone pick tenn and auburn, when ga and alabama are available. i am glad i really like espn night games. that means though we get patrick and blackledge. not bad, but, i would rather have abc herbstreit and mussberger. i believe game day is in ga for this game as well.
I believe when the new TV contracts begin (The one with CBS and the one with ESPN), CBS will always get first pick, and ESPN will get everything else.Espn gets 3 or 4 priority picks a year. This'll do.Gameday announced today that they will be in Athens for the game. I will try and find a link with the info if I can.
I'm with you, brother. Night games make Saturdays drag on forever, and my weekend feels as if it hasn't begun until the Tide is done playing (if that makes sense lol). I may be in the minority, but I like the 11:30 games. Now if only we can get the 11:30 ESPN game, rather than those lame Big Ten games they show...then I'd be happy.I kind of like the 11:30 games. When I get to sleep late, it's nice to wake up to a little pregame blather from the announcers followed by kickoff. I hate the anticipation on Saturdays when games are at night.
