Hi I am Kim, born and raised in B'ham, now living in L.A. (Lower Alabama). I spent my childhood going to Bama games at Legion Field. My parents' first date was at a Bama game at Legion Field in the early 1960's. The Iron Bowls I remember most are the one with the tornado warnings all around (forgot the year) and "The Kick". I was sitting in the AU student section with some friends for the KICK, jumped up and screamed, looked at all the very angry Aubies around me, and left quickly, waving my shaker!!!!

I am in a house divided. I fell in love with and married a Barner (what was I thinking). Opposites attract I guess. He used to be a big Bama hater due to all those years of domination :biggrin2: but has mellowed some now due to my classiness ;) .

I love this forum and all the news and information. I lurk more than post. I have got to break the habit of being on TideFans from work, though.

Ben here. Originally from Sylacauga. UA grad in 1997. I live in Helena now with my barner wife. (Your prayers are coveted.)

Thank goodness I'm dating a Bama girl...I could never date a girl from the Barn; she wouldn't be able to put up with my continual teasing and disbelief that she ended up at a place like the Barn.

Ha ha CaliforniaTide I can relate to that. You should have seen my reaction when my husband took me to AU and showed me the TRAILER he lived in. I still rag him on that one.

Hey, I'm Wink from Kansas City. When I was a kid growing up in St. Louis, Coach Gene Stallings ran the NFL Cardinals team. The team was terrible, but everyone in St. Louis loved Coach Stallings. When the team left, my family didn't care much, but we took our alligence to Alabama when he took over the program. My folks have since left St. Louis and, funny enough, now live in Huntsville. I'm a swim coach, a huge admirer of CPB (as you can see from my name), and a diehard fan who bleeds crimson. Its tough to get news up here on the team (KC is basically the headquarters of the Big 12), so I really appreciate this site. This is actually my first post...I usually just listen to the "conversation" on the board to get caught up. I've enjoyed it....thanks....

Hello to all,

I've been a Bama Fan for as long as I can remember(at my age my memory is not too good!!!) A friend introduced me to games at Tuscaloosa this past season and I am head over heels in love with everything about Bama.

I am from Sand Mountain (yes that is in Alabama) and have lived here most of my life, don't count the time I lived in Florida. I sent 2 kids to Bama so I feel I have contributed to the future well being of our nation for that.

Oh yes, my name is Susan and though I don't post often I read every day.
Now I would like to say a big

Strangely enough, that is exactly how I became an Alabama fan. I was a huge fan of Stallings while I was growing up in St. Louis. When he went to Alabama, I became an Alabama fan. I ended up going to law school at Alabama and now I live in Birmingham.

Go Cards!

Hey everyone,

I grew up in the NYC metro area. (0-13 NYC, 14-18 Northern NJ). I have been a BAMA fan ever since I can remember. My mom grew up in Gadsden and we visited my grandparents there every year. My Uncle played at BAMA and was roommates with Joe Willie so I only had one choice in who to root for in college football. I spent 1990-1995 in Tuscaloosa getting my college education and have lived in the DFW metroplex ever since....

I am excited for BAMA football under Saban.... Hopefully he we lead BAMA back to the top like Joe Torre has done for my beloved NY Yankees... (The only team that can compete with BAMA football.)
