Is anyone here actually rooting for Auburn to beat Oregon?

Nothing would make me root for Auburn. I don't really care about the SEC's national championship streak either, and I think the whole 'you gotta pull for the SEC' deal is a bunch of nonsense. I think them being the team that breaks the SEC's streak would be pretty funny. It'd make for great trash talk fodder. I don't really care though. I'm excited because I think it'll be a good game, but whichever team wins does not affect my happiness either way.

Agreed! This league is a shark tank. I care about the other team's doing well to help our conference prestiege but the SEC's rep as the best conference in the nation is pretty secure. No need to cheer for Auburn or any other SEC team that you despise just out of some stupid sense of 'conference pride.' The SEC is not a team, why cheer for it?
 
I'm hoping to be doing the "howard the duck dance" ( I would post a link to it,,, but i have yet to see a link on any thread so i'm guessing thats a no no?)
It's all I want for Christmas is for them to lose...............

Did I mention The barn makes me want to puke......
 
Yes. If Oregon beats Auburn, we will never hear the end of how the pac 10 is better than the SEC.
 
Heck no. Those are some fine ducks out there in Oregon! I am rooting for them over the tigers. Or is it eagles. Or is it plainsmen. Go ducks!

...who cares? If anyone suggests such a thing you can just laugh at them for being wrong. The hilarity of Auburn being the team to break the SEC's streak would be well worth what any dumb PAC 10 fan says.
 
I made up my mind when we lost to SoCarl and we were pretty much out of the NC running that if an SEC team made to the big game, then I would pull for the SEC team. I would have had no problem pulling for Auburn if the Cam mess hadn't transpired. But, now that the story is out I just can't bring myself to pull for a player (a dang good football player BTW) that IMO, knew father was shopping him out.

Cam Newton is a phenominal football player that I enjoy watching play ball. He is also a lying, cheating, morally unethical individual that needs to move on the the NFL where he'll fit in perfectly.
 
it wouldn't be hard to pull for them if they were honest and did not cheat, i'm 63 now and ever since i knew of auburn they cheated, ask bo jackson, steven davis, charles "i hate whites" barkley, 24 on this years team plus cam (6 figures) newton. i hate seeing silly au on that helmet so i don't watch.

I don't know. I think the barner fan base will be in new territory and will not know how to react. I mean its been 40, 50, 60 years since they experienced this? My statement is once you loose the first game after this, now you know how it feels. Its a hard fall. I personally do not think they could handle that. I hope they freeze in the NC. They have enough drama about to hit. As nice as I can put it, even if I hate orange.......
 
yes i am going to pull for the BARN and more importantly the SEC! IF they loose we will all be very dissapointed in the media's response.

I was worried about us being the ones to drop that ball in 2009. I'd have a lot ammo for the Barners if they fumble.
