"The reason I am here is because ... even though the facade has changed in Washington DC, the policies are still the same,"

"We have to realize, it is not the president who is power, it is not the party that is in power it is the system that stays the same, no matter who is in charge."
Agree with her protesting agenda or not, one has to give her props for sticking to it and not just being the typical, hypocritical Bush hater like most on the left.

Even though I am not anti war like she is, I did argue at the end of the Bush admin that these wars in the Middle East were growing weary and not really accomplishing everything that we initially set out to do. On the surface, this does not seem to be political for her. She did not change her tune when the POTUS changed. She is wise in identifying that it is the system that stays the same and I think this could be said about an array issues in Washington. Obama did not bring about the change that Americans were looking for. The change he brought had the opposite effect. He put the system on steroids and increased the amount of fuel needed to feed the "system".

Will Sheehan eventually be labeled by the dems and the media as part of the "mob" that consist of many other Americans that are speaking out on other issues? Will her agenda be downplayed this time around or even be considered "unpatriotic" by the media and the left? I think that we do have small groups on the frindges that really hate Bush and really hate Obama but the majority of this country is beginning to see the light, focusing on the issues and realizing that our government is taking this country in the wrong direction...fast. As this movement continues to grow, Obama and the media may just be proved phophetic. We might just have a mob on our hands.

I'll give it a second look when she starts griping about the "federal occupation" of the nation's health care system.

depends on what you mean by 'deal'. If 'deal' means 'idiot', 'annoying', 'freak', 'dipstick', 'retard', 'loudmouth', 'grandstander' then yes, she is the real deal.

I do not think she will. She lost a son in war and seems to have only that "federal occupation" on her mind. I just found her quotes interestingly true and point out how the hypocritical Bush haters and/or the media embraced her cause when Bush was in office and now have abandoned her.

Given the pathological obsession right-wingers have with this woman, it's obvious she lives rent-free in their heads.

Right-wingers obsessed?

The Dems, the left, and the media were completely obsessed when she was their useful idiot.

How much have you heard about Cindy from anybody, right or left, since Obama's election?

We have plenty of right-wingers on this board. Were has the obsession been manifested since then?

Clearly, this idea lives only in your mind.

Negative. Just do a cursory search of this forum on the subject and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Good example:

Nate Harris, Sept 2005: "It just amazes me how completely obsessed some right-wingers have gotten with this woman."

Rent free, my friend.

Rent free. ;)

Quoting a post from 2005? That's some strong evidence (whoever Nate Harris is).

I took your suggestion and did a Sheehan search.

Prior to this thread, you have to go back to July 1, 2007, to find a thread about Sheehan. Hmmm... over 2 years ago...

Strong evidence of pathological obsession?

In your mind, pal. In your mind.:biggrin:

I'm thinking of an obsession with another woman.

That would be the Left's obsession with old what's her name from Alaska. Now that is

I'll give her a pass. She lost a son to a war that should have never been fought that was fed to us on lies and misrepresentations.
I gave her a pass for having lost a son in that war.

But the pass ended when she became just another propaganda tool for thugs like Chavez and Castro.

Which was my problem with the whole anti-Iraq war movement. It got hijacked by people like Cindy Sheehan and groups like ANSWER, both of which had their own agendas. It became almost impossible to express dissent for that misguided war without having to answer the charge that you were un-American, somehow not patriotic enough.
