Re: Is there a break down of "head-to-head" offers between Bama and other schools?
Not official list, but a few off the top of my head that we "lost" or are expected to lose on are:
1) Jameis Winston -- FSU
2) DGB -- wherever he goes; we seem to have backed out of it when it was clear he wasn't coming here
3) Goldman -- as others mentioned in his thread, we seem to have backed off a bit too
4) Kirven -- Tenn or Va. Tech; although we may pull this one out, but I'll include him since he's a toss up
5) Jordan Jenkins -- UGA
6) Channing Ward -- Ole Miss
7) Casher -- FSU; but this is an odd one since he seemed to want to join us a few weeks ago
There are a few guys like Kiel, Barry Sanders, Theus, that we "offered" but I wouldn't say we were really that hard after when it was all said and done (even though we did pursue Kiel at first for a while).
The big "gets" (I mean over other programs) that we have committed so far are:
1) Landon Collins -- over LSU; this one is so huge it can't be quantified; LC is an absolute BEAST
2) TJ Yeldon -- over the barn; same as #1; guy is a beast; LC is just coming in at a bigger 'need' position
3) Brandon Greene -- over UGA; UGA never backed off (and still hasn't)
4) Alhponse Taylor -- over FSU; need position if he sticks with NT
We have highly rated guys I didn't list like Eddie Williams, Ragland, Geno Smith, Lee, Cooper and Black, but they're either on campus (Black, Cooper, Taylor, Yeldon) or have been very "committed" to us.
