Question: Is there a "No-Contact" period before Signing Day?

Unless my memory is failing me (which would not be too surprising!), I thought there was a "quiet time" (no contact) period just before Signing Day. Is that right, and if so, when does it start?

Thanks!

I think it starts after this weekend. I know our coaches will do a couple of in-homes on Friday and I think we may have a few OV this weekend.

Hmmm, after looking at the ESPN link it looks like a coach can call at anytime before NSD. Same thing goes for quiet period. I just don't think that's correct unless rules have changed. It was my understanding that dead meant no contact whatsoever. :conf3: Otherwise the TJ Yeldon situation wouldn't have had such a sting.

I could be wrong, but I think prospects can still contact coaches if they want after Monday, but not the other way around.

TJ committed right before a Dead Period. That's different from a Quiet Period.

Pretty sure that is the case. Players can call or text, but coaches can't. And IIRC a coach can't return a missed phone call during that time period either.
