Coach Miles got off to a great start but had had a dip in his 4th and 5th years, losing 9 games. Surprisingly, he recovered from that to and has lost only 2 games the past two seasons. This success in his 6th and 7th year is very impressive as many coaches lately have had initial success and then tapered off. I believe it has a lot to do with him being a good coach, Saban showing the program that it can be done, and the best recruiting situation in the SEC. Louisiana is a huge state to just have 1 team in a BCS conference and they can pretty much pick who they want every year. If Alabama could choose any player in the State and let the UAB's have the rest, recruiting would not be very hard.
Les has never had a season without at least 2 losses until this season. Here is his record as compared to Coach Saban. I still believe to the core that last year's Bama team would have made a BCS Bowl if we hadn't had the schedule of 6 SEC teams coming off of a bye week playing us coupled with our late in the season bye week.
Coach Saban inherited a mess, Miles a dream. I hope that Coach Saban is here for years 6-10.
The last 4 season's, including this, LSU has lost 11 games to Bama's 6. LSU has been to 1 BCS game(this year), to Bama's 3.
