OFD,

I'll be in Norman for the Utah State game most likely. The Bama game comes on that night. Just poking you for a question:

Where should i watch the Bama game in Norman? I was thinking O'Connell's but it might be too packed after the OU game is over. Any ideas would be awesome.
Since both the OU/Utah St. and Bama/Arkansas games will be kicking off at nearly the same time, I wouldn't try to watch it in Norman. Every TV will be on the OU game. O'Connell's will be too packed to get into anyway. Best bet in Norman would be at Coach's on Main St. or at the Daiquiri Zone in OKC at Bricktown. That place has tons of TVs for all kinds of games. In fact, if you get a table, you have your OWN remote control and TV screen at your table. Pretty cool stuff.

Greetings to my fellow crimson bretheren. Our favorite time of the year is upon us.

Here's wishing you all a successful start to what I know will be the rebirth of one of the two greatest programs in the storied history of college football.

By the way, great article in SI. I loved it when the Tide fan was quoted as going to the OU vs T A&M game.

PS: Maybe, just maybe, we'll see each other in a NC game sooner than later. We owe Saban one. HA!
Thanks for the positive thoughts . They are welcomed and appreciated . Best of fortune to you and yours . Especially with the new RS under center . RTR !!!

Selma, I would agree with comments herein that it will be difficult to find a location where you will be able to control the tv. It probably makes sense to go back into OKC & find a place in Bricktown. I have been told that a new place in Norman on Ed Noble Parkway called B.J.'s might be the ticket. Everything else; i.e., O'Connell's, The Mont, & all the watering holes on Campus Corner will be packed.

frankly, I look @ last year as possibly Coach Stoops' finest hour in that the way he handled the Bomar/Quinn situation, the loss of AD, the Oregon fiasco, Paul Thompson converting from WR back to QB,& the fact that we beat ourselves against Texas did not prevent us from eventually winning the conference & going to a BCS bowl. The Fiesta Bowl was disheartening to say the least but I have finally come to the realization that today's college environment allows the "have-nots" to compete with the "haves" & we have nothing to be ashamed about in losing that game.

We are loaded this year with a very favorable schedule so all our RSF QB has to do is not beat us.

I am not going up for Miami. Looks like my annual visit will be for either the Mizzou or T A&M games. As I write this I am sure most of you are aware of the recent shooting that took the life of one of our recruting commits. What a terrible thing......absolutely senseless.

Hrmmm According to the internet sites of each team, they do not kick off at the same time. Bama plays the Piggies that night at 5:30 on ESPN, and kickoff for the OU game is at 2:30, so Bama doesnt play til the OU game is almost over (or probably will be over since it wont be much of a game). I'd have to leave the OU game just after halftime to get back to OKC in time to see our kickoff. I'd rather not do that, but I guess I will if i have to because I dont like missing the opening kickoffs of Bama games.
