As soon as Kiffin kind of put his blessing on Jake, we didn’t talk to Kiffin a whole lot. It was to the point where sometimes you’d might be in the indoor and see Kiffin, and he might go the other way. I’m serious. It’s just bizarre. We got kind of close with Kirby because we didn’t have anybody to talk to. Kirby is from Georgia, and it’s just easy to relate. That’s why he’s blowing everybody up on the recruiting end because he’s just a very personable person.”

Lifelong (may be a grad) and this is why his son flipped to UGA as soon as Kirby was named coach.

I heard a talking head sometime after the games monday say that KS was the reason Alabama recruited so well and won championships as much as CNS, and this years recruiting and playoff win proved it.
Bama hate is real.

Kiff was on thin ice his last couple of years. Most of us who knew his background and behaviors didn't expect him to be around for a third year. It was natural to try to shift the focus to the fact that Fromm would be signing with Bama and Saban - not Kiffin. Looks like Kirby might have taken advantage of it...
