Not real, he’s a phantom. Legend has it he’s just like Ty Simpson. He was here for a little bit, but then disappeared. My brother claims to have seen him once. Yeah right…Duron Carter(1) ?

I`m not a D coordinator, but why wouldn`t you load the line against us? I`d force the O to make me back off the line. That's exactly the way I see it. I'm pretty sure Lane Kiffin is going to have 7-8 on the line of schrimage...
Even if Milroe's friends decide to play and decide they can actually catch the ball, I see this game as a tough out.
Has to be close to a record, I must admit. All we need is a Duron Carter mention or two and this thread will be legendary.
In that particular play. It would be what auburn ran a lot with Nick Marshall. The QB reads the defensive end to decide to keep or give. It’s a relatively simple play. It could be a part of the running game that uses Milroe’s legs and the threat of his legs effectively to freeze the defense and give him or the RB an advantage with a simple read. You could still run RPO type plays as well.

I get what you are saying. I was just answering the other guys question and you’re probably right about that type of play not being able to be used regularly. Maybe it could be thrown in a couple of times a game.again, JM ran it several times against UTw. Had 2 decent plays out of it (one Jase run and one Milroe run), but they shut down the rest of them down.
Yep....well said. I am a Fan of any QB in a Bama jersey, but the QB who can take a snap from behind this OL as it is now (because I want them to have fun too) has yet to be born. CMS said it is fixable. Well...ok. I guess he didn't mean right away. Most of us noticed the Pedestrian performance of the OL vs MTSU. Then Texas. And now USF. If it is fixable (and I sure hope it is) it will show this weekend. Ole Miss will bring it. I have no idea what is or is not going on with this group, but I want them to win every snap as a team. Same thing we all want to see. Fight for the cause. Beat Ole Miss dadgummit!!! The players have full control of the spirit if the OC is capable of retaining his job. Then? These kinds of threads will change. If our left tackle doesn't improve Milro may not last long. I find it hard to believe that 7 other scholarship lineman can actually wave at outside rushers more effectively on their way to centering our QB in the back. If that is the case then what method are we using to evaluate these guys.
This post never took a break. Some you never slept. I’m blown away by all this too, but come on go to sleep.
Right. Every poster here is pro-Bama..but can't help showing frustration knowing who is coming up. 4th game already and we haven't really seen what we have. If we were Vandy fans, we would be ecstatic ðŸ˜â€How did we get to this point? It is like our HC is new and knows nothing about the players left over from the former coaching staff. It boggles my mind. Color me very confused.
So that explains why you have so few?Like I said earlier, facts are irrelevant in this argument.
No I’m basing my conclusion on my observations, not rumor. I have no other conclusion to draw after watching that performance on Saturday than to say this is an emotionless, listless group of players simply going through motions than have little sense of unity or team. You are basing your conclusion on rumor. Come on man, you're better than this.
He faced his own generational quandaries. Particularly as the 60s turned into the 70s. Had he lived, he would have faced more and he would have had to adjust.Today I thought about him and wondered how many times he rolled over in his grave.
My bet would be the Golding special- the ole 1-4-6 Nascar package that was so effective vs. runs and mobile qbsWith Gol*ing at DC I'd not be surprised if OM didn't play dime or prevent all night.
To the point. Good post. And you are correct that CMS is first of all a human being with all the normal emotions that we all have. Heck man...I am not far behind Coach, and I am tired. That Sir is why I call myself .....Retired-ed.No I’m basing my conclusion on my observations, not rumor. And the FACT (not RUMOR) that a players only meeting was held only ADDS to to the credibility to my conclusion..
Finally, it is MY OBSERVATION the past several years that Coach Saban has appeared tired and frustrated. Much of that frustration around simply getting players to “do what they are suppose to doâ€Â. At some point you simply decide some things aren’t worth the fight. You simply decide to fight the battles that you can win.
Dang, I remember the lyrics to that.
CNS can win every battle because he has the power to play or sit a player. He has chosen not to fight the fight. If those starting don't want to perform then sit them down and let someone play that does. If we are going to lose a game we might as well do it with players that want to be on the field. No I’m basing my conclusion on my observations, not rumor. There is nothing of substance to indicate that. It’s not outside the realm of possibility, but IMO, it’s frankly reckless and potentially harmful to the program to pursue such a theme without any real evidence.
To the best of my recollection you've been a responsible poster. Unless, you have some real evidence, to jump to the conclusions you have is unfortunate. You're feeding what is baseless speculation at the moment.
