Only two people know the truth. We are likely to hear versions of the truth over time, but I doubt that we will ever know exactly what went down.

Yeah too bad! It has gone though from him not doing anything to he was there to he's the main culprit. What's next?!

It does sound like the alleged victim was intimidated out of pursuing this further, and that campus police were involved in this needlessly, another case of a football program coming before a potential victim.

This doesn't make Winston guilty, but it sure as heck makes the police there despicable.

What's not clear to me - who's paying the $350 or so an hour in attorney fees? Billable hours accumulate quickly.

I am not sure that only two people know the truth. There have been inferences made by the media that due to the nature of what happened there may have been multiple witnesses. Also, it is appearing that there was some really bad police work and/or a cover up from the get go. IMHO

Maybe instead of this bogus 'Affordable Care Act' we should have an "Affordable Legal Assistance Act'. Good luck getting that past all of those lawyers turned politicians.

This already exists. It's called the Indigent Defense Fund in Alabama and pays attorneys $70 an hour. It's actually how I make a living. I only represent juveniles though.
